Italian Grammar B2

Italian grammar resources for level B2 are available online; access Sillabi and choose what you need!

With an “upper intermediate” knowledge of the Italian language, you are able to grasp the fundamental concepts of articulated texts on various topics, including that of your field of specialization. You are also capable of producing elaborate texts and of explaining “a viewpoint on a topical issue showing the advantages and disadvantages of various options” (CEFR). Finally, the interaction with a native speaker will be relatively free and spontaneous.

If you feel unsure about your grammar, try answering these questions:

  • What preposition follows the verb “appartenere”?  “Questo volume appartiene alla prima collana” or “Questo volume appartiene della prima collana”?
  • When do we use the indicative, and when subjunctive? “Dubito che ha solo 30 anni” or “Dubito che abbia solo 30 anni”?
  • How would you complete the following causal subordinate: “Ho chiamato il tecnico ____ il mio pc non funziona più”? With “perché” or with “siccome”?

If you have any doubts, on Sillabi you will find the answers and the opportunity to further develop other grammatical aspects relating mainly to verbs, prepositions and subordinates.
